@brokenbarrelwhiskey has been killing it in #TheNorth which isn’t really a surprise given it’s some kick ass whiskey! Check out our new Lost in Dramslation podcast with @benhaimswhiskey - Seth Benhaim. He is the founder, the blender, the barrel disassembler aka breaker, smasher, destroyer, demolisher… you get the point. Best of all though, Seth is just a regular dude trenching it like the rest of us trying to build his legacy. I am a big fan of Seth as a person and of what he is doing with Broken Barrel, so make sure to listen in. Link in bio!
Life is better with cocktails and great Mexican food!
In case you haven’t noticed, I like beer… 😏😋😎
Chapter Three!
#Thirstythursday calls for something out side the box a bit and this @glendaloughdistillery 7 year Mizunara is a really interesting pour! Imagine loading up some cinnamon toast with a bunch of fruit like pineapple, papaya, coconut and raisins, then dusted in dark cocoa which dominates the finish along with the nutty sandalwood flavour from the Mizunara. If that doesn’t sound good to you, just quit everything.
The American Single Malt standards have been set and it officially has its own category! This is huge! There are so many incredible producers in this genre, such as our beloved @boulderspirits who have worked feverishly to legitimize their passion to create a world class whiskey and now they will finally receive the recognition they deserve!
I generally like my Tuesdays to feel like Tuesdays, but unfortunately after a long weekend, every day of the week loses it’s identity. I guess I’ll just have to pour some @twostackswhiskey until the remaining days of the week all feel like the same day… 😏
@jeremypue and I were shooting bottles in Gastown and witnessed a Vancouver miracle… it’s not often you leave a bottle behind in a busy alley for hours and come back to it still sitting where you left it. 🤦🏻🤣
If there is one thing I am sure of, it’s that your weekend will be better with @twostackswhiskey @draminacan within reach. It’s great chilled too, so go to your bar fridge and push everything in it all to the back, forget about it and then put your stacks of Dram in a Can at the front… you can thank me later 😉😏
@fablewhisky Chapter Two!
Sorry Whisky fans, but when it’s +30 degrees Celsius and above, I turn to beer and cocktails. Since I have been to lazy to make any cocktails lately… BEER IT IS!
PX Stout Cask… sounds like a symphony to me. These smoke and mirrors expressions by @twostackswhiskey are some wonderfully interesting pours with an untamed nature that I just love. These are the perfect whiskies to pour for a room of enthusiast because you know the reactions are going to take that room over.
